چکیده

From the Department of Cardiology, Apollo Hospital, 21, Greams Lane, Off Greams Road, Chennai 600006, India. Drs. Sengottuvelu and Rajendran have reported that they have no relationships relevant to the intravenous tirofiban infusion along with oral antiplatelets. A check angiogram after 4 days showed mild clearing of the filling defects (Fig. 1B, Online Video 2). Optical coherence tomography run from the distal to proximal RCA showed dissection flaps (asterisk) along with organized and recanalized thrombus (hash mark)

Spontaneous coronary artery dissection treated with biovascular scaffolds: Old riddle, novel approach

Introduction: Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) is a rare, poorly understood disease (incidence 0.1–1.1%). Management modalities vary and are mostly based on consensus from relatively some study results. Percutaneous intervention (PCI) with conventional drug eluting stents (DES), though acceptable treatment for complicated cases, has a widely variable rate of success (65–90%), hence...

Bioresorbable Scaffolds to Treat Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection.

S pontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) is a rare cause of acute coronary syndromes (ACS), typically affecting female and younger individuals with no underlying atherosclerotic disease. 1 Diagnosis of SCAD has traditionally relied on coronary angiography; however, new imaging modalities, and especially optical coherence tomography (OCT), improve diagnostic accuracy and help management. 2...

Novel 3-Dimensional Vessel and Scaffold Reconstruction Methodology for the Assessment of Strut-Level Wall Shear Stress After Deployment of Bioresorbable Vascular Scaffolds From the ABSORB III Imaging Substudy.

A 72-year-old female patient underwent successful deployment of a single 3.0 18 mm Absorb bioresorbable vascular scaffold (Abbott Vascular, Santa Clara, California) to the mid right coronary artery (Figures 1A and 1B). The scaffolded segment was imaged simultaneously with coronary angiography and with the C7 Dragonfly (LightLab Imaging Inc., St. Jude Medical, Westford, Massachusetts) optical co...

Very late bioresorbable scaffold thrombosis and reoccurrence of dissection two years later chronic total occlusion recanalization of the left anterior descending artery

We describe the case of a patient presenting with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction due to very late scaffold thrombosis. The patient was already admitted for an elective percutaneous recanalization of a chronically occluded left anterior descending artery (LAD). The procedure was performed according the sub-intimal tracking and re-entry (STAR) technique with 4 bioresorbable vascular s...

Bioresorbable vascular scaffolds in acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction: a prospective multicentre study ‘Prague 19’

AIMS Bioresorbable vascular scaffolds (BVSs) have been studied in chronic coronary artery disease, but not in acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). This prospective multicentre study analysed the feasibility and safety of BVS implantation during primary percutaneous coronary intervention (p-PCI) in STEMI. METHODS AND RESULTS Bioresorbable vascular scaffold implantation bec...
